I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you score your pair?

I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

How expensive are they?

Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.

These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.

How does the sizing run?

I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.

They haven’t stretched at all, so golden goose men’s sneakers if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Is the comfort worth it?

They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Stunning.

Are they worth it?

Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also look great.
